Kansas City, MO — We all used to know Taylor Swift as this sweet, country singer, but the old Taylor is no more.
Taylor’s new album ‘Reputation’ had a little twist from what we are used to, claiming that “the old Taylor is dead”, and that this is the new and improved Swift. Welcome to her new era.
With her Reputation Stadium Tour USA coming to an end, I had the pleasure of seeing what it was all about in Kansas City, Missouri.
I have seen Taylor four times in concert, and I feel like each time I’m more and more impressed with her as an artist. This was her first year doing a stadium tour for her album. Her concert in Kansas City was at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. In fact, fans were told Saturday night was “the most people they have ever had in their stadium.” Taylor did THAT.
Fans screaming, lights bouncing through the stadium, and a show you never wanted to end, was the feeling you got while in attendance. Swift had you wanting more and more.
When we first entered the stadium, they gave us bracelets that glowed in the dark, which was a super cool way to rock out during the concert. Taylor wanted every single person to have this glow in the dark wristband, so she could see all her fans in the crowd.
My favorite moment was when she sang old songs, such as “Love Story,” and everyone’s glow in the dark bracelets turned pink. At that moment, it felt like every single person was connected.
Swift is also known to have some of the best opening acts when she goes on tour and has become more and more dominant with every tour. This time, she would bring along Camila Cabello, and Charlie XCX.
Camila sang songs like “Havana” and “Never be the Same”, and Charlie sang a song from the famous ‘Fault in Our Stars’ movie, “Boom Clap”, and her most popular “I love it”.
Taylor ended her concert with “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” along with a big firework show that brought the music to life.
It was an incredible moment.
If you ever get the chance to see Taylor Swift in concert, then I recommend you prepare yourself for lots of singing, dancing, and unforgettable moments you’ll always remember.
